Research Assistant

Your responsibilities:

  • Research in the LuFo Klima VII project “Development and operation of an aeroengine dynamic rig for investigating the influence of intermediate shaft bearings on overall system behavior”
  • Conceptualization and design of an appropriately scaled two-shaft engine rig with a modular design
  • Assembly and commissioning of the two-shaft engine rig
  • Experimental investigations and generation of vibration data on the engine rig for numerical model validation
  • Close technical coordination with research and aviation industry partners on requirements, system integration, and interfaces
  • Publication of scientific results in international journals and at relevant conferences

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, physical engineering, or automotive engineering
  • In-depth and practical knowledge of design, particularly with regard to stresses, manufacturing technology, and drive technology
  • Advanced expertise in mechanical vibration theory, such as rotor dynamics, machine dynamics, or structural dynamics
  • working level proficiency in CAD and measurement technology
  • Very good command of the German language
  • Experience in strength and service life assessment and setting up test rigs is desired
