Technische Universität Berlin offers an open position:

Student assistant 40 - 60 hours per month

Number of identical posts to be advertised: 3

Working field:

Collaboration in the research project "Ziel-orientierter Lernen von Agenten" (ZoLA) in the Software and Embedded Systems Engineering Group in the area of software development and reinforcement learning with the following tasks:

  • Support with design and development of a graphical application of the department for the iterative development of reinforcement learning agents (50%)
  • Literature research on current issues in the areas of software development and reinforcement learning (30%)
  • Support with conducting experiments in the field of robotics and reinforcement learning; setting up related infrastructure (10%)
  • Preparation of project and research results (10%)

Requirements:

Must:

  • Good programming skills or skills in Linux administration, especially in Python
  • Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills

Can:

  • Experience in scientific work
  • In-depth knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Frontend development, Machine learning/Reinforcement learning, Infrastructure administration
  • Reliability, ability to work in a team, structured and independent way of working
