Research Assistant - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen - 1st qualification period (PhD candidate)

Working field:

Assist in teaching students in mathematics in particular in courses in the area of Discrete Structures and contributions to third-party funded research projects and own research towards a PhD.

Requirements:

  • successfully completed university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) in mathematics, computer science or a related area; excellent academics degree desired
  • very good knowledge in combinatorics and/or graph theory and/or discrete geometry
  • good german communication skills and solid English skills are expected
  • experience with teaching, e.g. as a student assistant, are desirable
